This is THE spot! Nothing fancy but Bill's is just one of the tastiest burgers spots in the valley. This place is certainly a throwback. Just look inside at the grill and the tiny kitchen...from the vintage cash register you can tell this place has been around for decades. No fries but there are chips! I like to stick to the basics...with chili of course. My two favorites are the plain chili dog and plain chili cheeseburger. Unbelievable how good these really are! Nothing fancy really. Just good stuff. There is usually a line and always a wait of at least 20 minutes for anything you order. Bill's is only open during the week until 4pm and it's cash only. Oh the sacrifices you'll have to make for one of my favorite things to eat!

I've driven by it 1000 times. There is always a line. Sometimes you have to wait, in the hot parking lot. THAT BEING SAID, it is fabulous. The single is a tasty morsel and the double is heavenly. They are handmade to order. The combination of flavors come together for a perfect burger! I went one day, took one son on one day and took my other son the next. We are officially a family who supports Bills. It is what all the big chains aspired to be,. but failed. Better than In&Out, Fat Burger, Shake Shack, and the new smash burger joints. No frills, walk up counter, no place to sit, both of which are unnecessary for a PERFECT BURGER! AAA+++!!!) 5 Stars!

2x Double Cheeseburger / 5! Bill's Hamburgers in Van Nuys has been open since 1965 on a quiet, industrial-leaning part of Oxnard where they serve American classics, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, breakfast items and chili. It's a cash-only business so make sure you bring some cash with you. Bill's is one of those kinds of local spots where the 'ones in the know' will rave about and for good reason. They have a decent sized menu but I had heard many times over the years that their burgers are the way to go. While I was waiting for my order, I heard regulars ordering other items so it is safe to assume there is more to love than their hamburgers. I'd like to go back and try their breakfast sandwiches. The burgers I had were delicious. There is an art in perfecting a menu and Bill's has achieved just such a perfection with his sixty years in business! The burgers were very well cooked, well seasoned, had nice crispy edges, and were extremely tasty. The prices are still quite affordable. The service was quick and efficient for my visit. I would recommend you find street parking. The burger shack has a large parking lot next door but there are multiple signs warning Bill's guests from using the parking. I also loved how cozy and personal the setting felt. While they don't have seating, they do have some bar counters outside. I took my burgers to my car. I loved the ramshackle shack look of their restaurant and the no-frills, effortlessly tasty food on their menu. I recognize that Bill is set to retire or maybe he already has. But his legacy and his classic American menu will live on as long as there are people who care about quality food at good prices. They are worth the visit!

Simple, yet tasty burgers. My friend and I came here this morning for a quick bite. It was his first time here, and he approved. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers, a Coke, and pink lemonade that came out to $16. Cash only. We ordered the burgers with everything on it. Great ratio of all the fixins. I love pickles, and they weren't stingy. Hehe.

These iconic valley burgers are some of my favorite! Bill, as well as his employees are so friendly and hard-working. Prices are beyond fair, I suggest both the burger as well as the patty melt. Made to order quickly, full flavor. Easy parking, and a bit of seating and standing room available. Highly recommended if you are looking for a fast and affordable bite in the area!

The place was really good, they actually ran out of hamburgers while we were finishing up. If you want a good burger get here early because this place was done right around 12:20 PM

Bomb burger spot but don't expect fries just burgers and hot dogs. Although when we were there everyone ordered a burger. Simple menu, not fancy actually I probably wouldn't have stopped if just driving by since there is definitely no curb appeal to this burger joint. Wait was about 30 minutes to order and get our food. They only take cash and have street parking even though there is a parking lot next to it. Nowhere really to eat do took it home to enjoy. Worth the wait!

"You can't have it your way, this isn't Burger King" says the sign hanging inside the small kitchen. There stands Bill, in his grease-stained shirt, scraping away at the grill. "It's my first time Mr. Bill!" "You'll be back," he says without skipping a beat. "That gentleman before you has been coming for about 30years." In a world where oozing mac & cheese burgers get clicks on social media, Bill reminds us why the term "classic" exists. A no frills burger, built and tasting the way it's supposed to be. A Valley staple since the 1960s, this walk-up window of a building no bigger than a small garage consistently puts out quality burgers non stop. HEADS UP: cash only Maybe the secret to the burger is the grill, at least that's that's what the younger cook/cashier thinks. It's been around since before this establishment even existed. Or maybe the secret is the meat, which Bill sources from nearby in Northridge. But maybe it's just Bill. "Over 55 years been doing it" "I'm just getting too old to be back here," he says at a sprite 96 years young. Hopefully for a bit longer, Bill.
